The gau:di programme is steered by six co-organising institutions which have a lot of experience in European co-operation. These institutions all have similar missions: to promote contemporary architecture (exhibitions), museography (collections), disseminate research and experimentation (archives, research, teaching). Since 2001 they have shown firm commitment to a jointly created project.
The "Centre International pour la Ville, l’Architecture et le Paysage" (CIVA, Brussels) is responsible for the general co-ordination of the programme in co-operation with the other co-organising institutions. One or more of the co-organisers is responsible for every activity in the programme.
Coordination: Centre International pour la Ville, l’Architecture et le Paysage (BE)
Co-organisers: The Architecture Foundation (UK) / Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine (FR) / Fundació Mies Van der Rohe (ES) / The Lighthouse (UK) / The Museum of Finnish Architecture (FI)
Partner: The Royal Institute of British Architects (UK)
This steering committee works with a second group of associated partners. They contribute to one activity or another according to the purpose for which they are set up, geographical location, area of competence, etc. The plan promotes effective and quick contact with the architectural centres of the new Member States, which request production exchange and transfer of experience.
