Labelled “Culture 2000” for the second time by the European Commission, the triennial action programme gau:di (“Governance, Architecture, Urbanism: a Democratic Interaction”, 2005/2008) presents the co-operation of cultural organisations dedicated to contemporary architecture and its promotion to different kinds of audiences (children, cultural centres, culture professionals and built-up environments). It represents a citizen’s approach to shared architectural culture.
The programme aims to facilitate the circulation of initiatives, ideas and players and to consolidate a European architectural and urban cultural production that respects diversity. Its logic is simple: make joint activities happen in order to strengthen the network of partners and provide it with durable co-operation tools.
