International platform for exchanges and co-production of cultural actions in the field of architecture (exhibitions, edition, events)

Public’s interest for architecture is growing thanks to the action of a dynamic network of centres and museums over Europe. But their diversity and sometimes their lack of visibility hinder the conception of events at a large-scale and with a real educative quality. This moderates the diffusion of architecture.

The creation of an annual forum aimed at professional, called Stock Exchange, will allow to bridge over this lack, facilitating the co-productions of events that could fit for itinerance over Europe. On the long view, Stock Exchange will also contribute to the elaboration and the diffusion of a european vision of architecture and cities.

The first forum will be held in Paris in Autumn 2007 during two days (date to be announced very soon) on the theme of the new member states of European Union and the architecture scenes in the East of Europe (heritage and contemporary architecture). The forum will fully focus on edition questions as well.

Each institution will get a 20 minutes workshop during the forum to present a project that is looking for an international co-production. A European inventory of architecture centres and museums will be presented by La Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine at the launching of Stock-Exchange.
